- To send emails about new features, updates, campaigns and other information about the Services
- For purposes incidental to the purposes of use listed above
Article 4 (Changes to the Purposes of Use)
- We will change the purposes for which we use personal information only where the new purposes can reasonably be considered related to the previous purposes.
- If we change the purposes of use, we will notify users of the new purposes by a method we specify or publish them on this website.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
- We will not provide personal information to third parties without the user's prior consent, except in the cases listed below or as otherwise permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
- Where necessary to protect a person's life, body or property, and obtaining that person's consent is difficult
- Where particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and obtaining the person's consent is difficult
- Where cooperation is necessary for a national government agency, local government or a party entrusted by them to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the person's consent could hinder those duties
- Where the following matters have been notified or published in advance and we have filed a notification with the Personal Information Protection Commission
- That the purposes of use include provision to third parties
- The categories of data to be provided to third parties
- The means or method of provision to third parties
- That provision of personal information to third parties will stop at the person's request
- How the person may submit such a request
- Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the recipient of the information is not considered a third party in the following cases:
- Where we entrust all or part of the handling of personal information to another party to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use
- Where personal information is provided as part of a business succession due to a merger or other reason
- Where personal information is used jointly with specified parties, and the person has been notified in advance, or can readily learn, of that joint use, the categories of personal information used jointly, the scope of the parties using it, their purposes of use, and the name of the person or entity responsible for managing that personal information
Article 6 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
- If personal information we hold about a user is incorrect, the user may request that we correct, add to or delete it (hereinafter, “Corrections”) in accordance with the procedures we specify.

- If, based on the investigation under the preceding paragraph, we determine that the request should be fulfilled, we will carry out the Suspension of Use without delay.
- If we carry out the Suspension of Use under the preceding paragraph, or decide not to do so, we will notify the user without delay.
- Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if Suspension of Use would involve substantial cost or is otherwise difficult, and an alternative measure necessary to protect the user's rights and interests can be taken, we will take that alternative measure.
Article 8 (Use of External Services)
- The Services use YouTube's embedding feature, provided by Google LLC, to display videos. When you visit a page containing an embedded video, Google may obtain information about you through cookies or similar technologies. We do not obtain or manage this information. For details of the information collected and how it is handled, please see Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy ).
- Embedded videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
Article 8-2 (Information Handling in Publicity Bureau Projects)
- In the Services' “Which Hapi Sama! Character Are You?” quiz, when a quiz is completed, only the resulting character (or the fact that there was a tie) is sent to our server and counted so that the distribution of results can be displayed on the website. Answers and cookies are not sent, and IP addresses and device information are not stored. The aggregate data consists only of counts and cannot identify individuals.
- The Favorite Character Poll, Browser Demo and Game Downloads store a random identifier that is difficult to guess in a cookie (valid for approximately 400 days) to count participation and usage from the same browser. Only the date and choice of a vote, the play progress chosen with it, the date the demo was started, and the date a download was started and the file concerned are recorded on the server. This identifier is not linked to personal information such as a name, and we do not store IP addresses or device information. Deleting the cookie removes the identifier, and a new one will be issued.
- We use Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., to prevent automated voting. Cloudflare may obtain information about you when you vote. For details of how it is handled, please see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy .
Article 8-3 (Records for Improving the Site)
- To improve the site, the Services record on our server the pages viewed; clicks on links to Play, the demo, downloads and the walkthrough, and on links to external sites; switches of the display language; the character chosen in the scene list filter; the domain of the referring site; campaign names (utm parameters); the display language; and the device type (smartphone, tablet or PC, judged by screen width).
- To count movements within one visit, a random identifier that is difficult to guess is stored only inside the browser tab (sessionStorage). It disappears when the tab is closed and is replaced after 30 minutes of inactivity. No cookies are used. We do not record IP addresses, device details, text you enter, or personal information such as your name.
- Individual records are combined into daily counts and deleted after 90 days. Only our circle views the records and the totals, and they are not used to identify individuals.
- Nothing is recorded if your browser has Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control enabled.
Article 9 (Changes to this Privacy Policy)
- The contents of this Policy may be changed without notifying users, except for matters otherwise provided for by law or by this Policy.
- The revised Privacy Policy takes effect when it is posted on this website.
